Chores....

Why do kids give such a hard time about doing their chores? I just don't understand it, I swear they love to get yelled at.  For at least 14 years now all I seem to say is "Do your chores... Do your chores".  They do GREAT for about three days and then back to "brain damaged" kids... as Bill Cosby would say.  I keep trying to explain to them if they all just pick up after themselves and wash their own dishes, there would be nothing to really do.  My kids are great.. they don't give any attitude, just laziness.  I like a VERY clean house and what I think is not picked up is... fine for others and my kids say that to me all the time... that I need to give up my OCD ways.  And I have in so many ways but I just can't lax on my house being organized and clean. Hopefully one day they will get it.
